REGISTRATION FORM—WEST TEXAS IDOL: SEARCHING FOR OUR SUPERSTAR
Eligibility:
You must be a legal U.S. resident, 16 to 28 years old on or
before June 27, 2008, who is eligible to work in the United States.
If you are less than 18 you must be accompanied to the audition
by your parent or legal guardian. You
must bring two valid forms of ID that show proof of age and a picture
(for example, a birth certificate and a driver’s license or a birth
certificate and a passport, etc.) You
are ineligible if you already have any type of talent representation or
a recording contract. You
are also ineligible if you made it to the top 30 contestants of
“American Idol: The Search for a Superstar.”
Employees, shareholders, officers, directors, agents,
representatives, and their immediate family members and those living in
the same household of Fox Broadcasting Company, FremantleMedia, 19
Television, production personnel for the television program,
participating television stations, advertising agencies, radio partners,
sponsors, or any person or entity connected with the production,
administration or judging of the auditions, or any of their respective
parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents or representatives
are not eligible. Material:
Be prepared to sing a 3-minute song of your choice.
In the event you qualify for the finals, you may be asked to sing
two songs. Please note that you will need to provide your own music in
CD format. Or, you may sing
acappela or with an instrumental accompaniment. Paperwork:
You will be required to fill out, sign and agree to all of the
terms and conditions in the required forms.
Some of the forms will be available at the audition locations.
As you advance in the competition, you will be required to fill
out, sign and agree to other contracts including without limitation, a
talent management contract. If
you are less than 18, both you and your parent or legal guardian must
sign each of these forms, and you and your parent or legal guardian must
agree that the forms may be court-approved.
If you are found to have given any false information, you may be
disqualified. The Process: In the event the winner cannot travel to the national audition, the runner-up will go instead. FOX24 will provide airfare and 2 nights lodging. Disqualifications:
We reserve the right to disqualify and/or exclude, in our sole
and absolute discretion, any individual from any of the auditions for
any reason, including without limitation, violation of any portion of
these rules, or tampering with the entry process or the audition
process. We also reserve
the right to change the rules and procedures at any time.
Being chosen to audition and/or compete at any level in the
process does NOT ensure that you will be selected to continue to the
next stage. GENERAL
CONDITIONS. By
participating, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the
decisions of the judges, which shall be final and binding.
We reserve the right to use the auditioning process for publicity
and other purposes, and to use the name and likeness of those who
audition and who arrive at the audition, including friends, family or
any other individual accompanying the participant, as part of that
publicity and for other purposes, without compensation unless prohibited
by law. All federal, state
and local laws apply. Dates

personnel for the television program, participating television stations,
advertising agencies, radio partners, sponsors, or any person or entity
connected with the production, administration or judging or the
auditions or the program, or any of their respective parent companies,
affiliates, subsidiaries, agents or representatives are not responsible
for and shall not be liable for: (i) any failure of transportation, bad
directions, or inability for any reason to appear at an audition site or
audition or appear before the judging panels; (ii) any injuries, losses
or damages of any kind caused by participating in the auditioning
process or being selected to or disqualified from continuing in the
auditioning process and/or the show; or (iii) any printing, typographical
or technological errors in any materials associated with the auditioning
process. |
